Inhalte(1)

Madeleine Beudet is very unhappy in her bourgeois marriage to Monsieur Beudet. She escapes reality by playing the piano. One day, Monsieur Beudet receives tickets to see Faust, but Madame Beudet refuses to go with him. Alone in the family house, with the piano locked by her husband, she tries to evade reality with the help of her imagination, but her husband’s reminiscences won’t let her, and that’s when that desire to escape becomes a murderous desire. Englisch A very specific film that I think will not provoke any outrage with its feminist approach, on the contrary, it has great potential to captivate with its dreamy concept. There are still elements here that can inspire the modern viewer, especially in terms of how the scenes are conceived and filmed. If I'm not mistaken, she is also one of the first female directors to be recognized to the extent that her film appears in the 1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die. The story itself may not be thrilling, but the concept of the scenes is excellent. ()
