Kanál IV - soukromá televize Luďka Soboty

Luděk Sobota and Ladislav Smoljak wrote a parody on the television broadcast of a regime that was recently in the past, but the humor has remained rewarding to this day, and I am glad that Czech Television grabbed this film during one of its dives into the archives. Kanál IV is also interesting because it has well-known scenes in a slightly different presentation - A Moment of Poetry not with Luďek Sobota, but with Roman Skamene and Adriana Sobotová, and at the end Sobota's phenomenal grateful monologue: "last but not least, I want to thank the viewers in the back," is even better than in the later New Year's Eve version. Even the excellent escalating parody of a communist series entertains, and also the (deliberately) desperate Jan Rosák. What I could do without is the song by Eva Hurychová. (19.05.2021)
