Im Waratah National Park an der australischen Ostküste leben Matt Hammond, der Leiter des Parks, seine zwei Söhne Mark und Sonny sowie Jerry King, der Hubschrauber-Pilot. Der eigentliche Star der Serie ist jedoch Skippy, das zahme Känguru, das über erstaunliche Fähigkeiten verfügt und jedes Wort seiner menschlichen Freunde versteht. Englisch I have a feeling that most commentators are trying hard to recall and give alibistic three stars to the series, from which they only remember the opening song and the silhouette of a jumping kangaroo. The series aired in a time when it didn't have much competition. It's an older matter and the acting performances or the scripts of individual episodes were not anything special, and a confrontation with reality would lead in most cases to an uncompromising reduction of one star... I have to let myself be carried away by waves of nostalgia a lot, to not give it only 50% of the overall impression... ()
