Der Kongressabgeordnete Stan Lohman steht vor der Kandidatur als Gouverneur. Mit seiner Frau Katelyn lädt er seinen Bruder Paul und dessen Frau Claire in ein Nobelrestaurant zum Essen ein. Ihre Kinder haben ein furchtbares Verbrechen begangen: Pauls Söhne, Michael und Rick, haben einen Brand gelegt, bei dem eine Obdachlose verstorben ist. Stans Adoptivsohn Beau hat ein Video der grausamen Tat online gestellt. Bei dem Dinner will Stan mit der Familie die weitere Vorgehensweise beraten. (ORF)

The theme that the film tackles isn't bad - the denial of guilt and the consequences of one's actions. All of the actors are superb. But the whole film and the overall idea are so incredibly drawn out, and most of the dialogues are just for effect, that you simply get lost in what you're watching because it's shallow.
