Weird movie. Interesting choice of well-known actors in small roles, but that's probably all. For me rather long-winded, and not entertaining and engaging enough. The fantasy world behind the mirror didn't appeal to me visually, nor did I find the film special in terms of story. Probably nothing for me. 55%

Just Before I Go is definitely not a seizure-inducing comedy romp, as is usual with Stiffler, but instead a rather serious, emotional Drama with a strong theme, but fortunately entertaining and feel-good enough, where I my favourite was Police Officer Garret Dillahunt. A cool 70%

Oops, this is disappointing. Instead of The Bodyguard being a homage to old-school action classics, it's more of a drama about Sammo Hung's relationship with a little girl, which I'm not really curious about. The film only offers three action scenes, two of which are very short and uninteresting. Only the final showdown is enjoyable, where Sammo knocks out the whole pub and breaks maybe 20 shoulders, hands and arms, but with rather strange camerawork and editing, which didn't sit well with me. It's watchable, but I was expecting considerably more. The drought of Asia continues... 55%

A decent thriller with a good cast in supporting roles. Russian roulette is quite a tough subject, but I was disappointed that we don't see much blood and heads being shot, which is a big minus for me, as the film is quite predictable and lacks excitement. The cheaper visuals bothered me in places, but it was good for entertainment. Jason Statham, Mickey Rourke and the crazy Michael Shannon were good. 60%.

That was torture. No pace, mediocre execution with one action scene right at the beginning, the rest drags like an earthworm after rain. Nothing for me. I was bored beyond belief. 20%

I liked The Rock with Alexandra Daddario more than the unlikeable John Cusack with his annoying family. As for the visual effects, they're decent except for the Yellowstone volcano eruption, I didn't like those visual effects much, but the first destruction or the ending on the ship had quite a bit of spark, though it's not very adrenaline-pumping. The running time is a problem, a lot of time is spent on the family relationships, which I don't find very appealing. 65%.

An almost five-star comedy after a long time. The pair Robert De Niro-Zac Efron is absolutely amazing, especially De Niro drops one wisecrack after another in his old age and he is not interested in anything else but to have sex with sexy schoolgirl Aubrey Plaza!! :D The highlight is definitely the scene where Zac Efron smokes crack and what follows after that is literally to tear the diaphragm. Solid, perverted and with a strong erotic touch. Great. More comedies like this. 85%.

If it's a romantic comedy, then only with the addition of action and here it fits like a glove. I liked the cute Anna Kendrick (she reminded me of a high school classmate), Sam Rockwell as a dancing assassin was very good and Tim Roth was good too, albeit in a smaller role. There are two decent original fights and overall I had a positive feeling about it. The humour went rather sideways, but it's entertaining. 65%.

Very mixed feelings. I'm only reviewing after the first season. The look of the pirates is only average and I'm not too keen on the plot itself, which is a bit of a bummer for a series. The action scenes are okay and pleasantly R-rated, although there were only two major action scenes in the first season, and the sex is also somewhat lacking. We'll see if I'll eventually give the second season a go, but the first one left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth.

I caught up on my absolute biggest series and film rest and although I wasn't at all sure for the first two seasons whether the fame of Game of Thrones was warranted, the remaining three seasons have convinced me otherwise. Admittedly, I was expecting a lot more sex, blood, action and the characters more or less start to rapidly diminish only in season 4. There are some deaf passages, but in the end as a whole it works solidly. Khaleesi is the best and the storyline around her kept me interested the most, Tyrion is solid and John Snow is pretty much likeable even though his story has been ramping up for four series. Of the supporting characters, I also liked Margaery and Varys. The best season is 4 and 5, then 3, 2, 1.
