The Maid's Room (2013)
It's like a slightly simplistic "Crime and Punishment," where half of the runtime pretends to be something entirely different than what it actually is. Many elements from the first part are completely unnecessary here because they only distract from what actually happens. It's got a pretty poorly written script, which is a shame because otherwise, the film could have been decent.
The Dead (2010)
The zombies in The Dead resemble classic zombies like voodoo dolls, but at the same time, it's incredibly bloody. It's just a shame there are occasional poorly executed effects, but there aren't that many of them. Story-wise, it's a classic journey, but that doesn't bother me. Many dangers are lurking in Africa, and they are presented excellently here. A serious zombie film that is definitely worth it.
Der Glanz des Hauses Amberson (1942)
The fact that it's an Orson Welles film is quite recognizable; there's great camera work, a well-constructed script, and excellent acting, but unfortunately, that's about all, and it left me somewhat indifferent. Maybe I'll have to give the film another chance later, just like I did with Citizen Kane.

Sein oder Nichtsein (1942)
A great war comedy with moments so incredible that they take your breath away to the point where you might not even laugh. Yet, they are funny moments, but it's really nice to see how far the creators dared to go. This couldn't be a film that Hitler would have liked, and that's just as well. Similar comedies unfortunately aren't made today because creators don't know where the line is and how to jab in a way that stings.
Reise aus der Vergangenheit (1942)
Bette Davis demonstrates her mastery in a film that didn't manage to captivate me in the slightest. She’s great as the protagonist, and even her male counterpart is good, but overall, the film just bored me, and I didn't find anything in it that sufficiently captivated me. The transformation from an ugly duckling to a beautiful woman was worth it, however.
Heavenly Sword (2014)
I really liked the poster, and I thought it would be a proper action-packed and sexy 3D spectacle. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. There is some at times, but overall, it's nothing special, and the visual aspect isn't particularly great either. If it were a video game from five years ago, maybe I would have enjoyed it, but as a film, it's weak.
Freitag der 13. - Ein neuer Anfang (1985)
Friday the 13th: A New Beginning doesn't significantly deviate from the established quality, but the development of the mythology in a somewhat predictable yet interesting direction makes this film a slightly more intriguing experience than its predecessors. I quite enjoyed this installment, and I must say, the frequent female nudity in it adds to the enjoyment. Sometimes you have to settle for scenes like that.
