Disturbia – Auch Killer haben Nachbarn (2007)

Englisch I don't know why Shia LaBeouf seems so scared and unshaven in all his movies, but maybe that's why I enjoy his movies in the end. In the beginning the movie seemed to me like "Home Alone for Grownups", gradually the movie picked up momentum and by the end I probably couldn’t even catch my breath.

Bobule (2008)

Englisch The feeling I have after every Grapes is exactly the feeling I want to have after every movie. Humor, adventure, longing, beauty, romance... all set in beautiful Moravia and wine cellars. I can't forget to mention the fantastic soundtrack. A great way to caress the soul. Really well done!

Román pro muže (2010)

Englisch To be honest, I wasn't really looking forward to this movie. From the trailers it looked "not great". But in the end, I enjoyed it mainly because of its cast. Donutil's role was really top notch. I left the cinema with a smile and a lot of laughs...I will gladly watch Novel for Men again. FUNNY.

Couchgeflüster - Die erste therapeutische Liebeskomödie (2005)

Englisch What I liked about this movie was that it wasn't just about a relationship between a 23-year-old guy and a 37-year-old woman. It also shows the relationship between a mother and her son and a psychologist and her patient. No hysterical scenes, no hair pulling... and as such I found the film reasonable and enjoyable. Plus, the only film where I like Uma Thurman. 4 stars.

Obsessed (2009)

Englisch A great example of how far an innocent flirtation can go. I still get hair standing up on the back of my neck end when I think of Lisa's look. The movie is a bit over the top, but the plot kept me interested. It was different... it’s just that the ending was a little too much. Otherwise... Beyoncé once again showed what a babe she is. A beautiful 4 stars.

Juno (2007)

Englisch I think the movie accurately describes a real 15-year-old girl who does what she has to do when she gets pregnant. The movie doesn't intrude or try to hijack the viewer with the American movie "stereotype". It doesn't have the usual situation where Juno realizes she wants a baby (...blah, blah, blah). The film is good, hence the 3.5 stars. And Reitman disappointed me a bit...

Solange du da bist (2005)

Englisch An American romantic comedy that I can see maybe a hundred times a year. Predictable plot, slightly stale scenes spiced up with something a bit new, and good actors. When I have weaker moments I cry a little, other times I laugh. At the very least, this film has filled me with hope that miracles can happen. 4.5 stars.

Beim Leben meiner Schwester (2009)

Englisch This story of a beautiful family made me cry. At first I felt sorry for Anna, who was actually a victim and was about to start losing her sense of self-importance. It was incredible how "adult" she was about it. Aside from the pain she had to endure in order to give a "piece of herself" to her older sister, at 11 years old she had to understand her mother, who out of fear for one daughter forgot she had two. The moment when the little girl stands in the courtroom and fights against her mother was the saddest moment ever. The role of the mom accurately describes what a loving parent can become when their child suffers. She gradually loses not only her daughter, but her life and her rational thinking. Great cast: Abigail Breslin and Sofia Vassilieva. And I dare say it was Cameron Diaz's best film.

Wall Street - Geld schläft nicht (2010)

Englisch For me, as a Czech viewer, this film was quite difficult. I couldn't predict the situations, I had no idea how the film would turn out. You get lost in some concepts at times, but then a single gesture from Shia LaBeouf helps you find yourself. His character here shows his love of money perfectly. His eyes light up every time it is mentioned. I'm glad Shia's partner was Carey Mulligan instead of some long-legged blonde. Carey gave the film a bit of humanity. The only thing that bothered me about the movie was the "flying camera". That is, the shots where the camera licks the skyscraper from the top down and back. The viewer’s eyes glaze over and they get dizzy. At times like that, my head dropped and I got bored.
