Paul Raphaël

Biografie

An Emmy-winning visual artist and studio director, Paul Raphaël is a director who creates realistic, authentic and testing experiences through VR, AR and MR technology. Alongside his creative partner Félix Lajeunesse, with whom he founded Felix & Paul Studios, he developed the first camera technologies that enabled the creation of Strangers With Patrick Watson in 2013. This first project gave birth to Paul Raphaël’s directorial career, and he has since coordinated and co-directed many other projects such as The People’s House (2017) with former US president Barack Obama, which earned him his first Emmy. Under his artistic direction, other projects, such as the fiction feature film Miyubi (2017) and the TV series documentary Space Explorers (in partnership with NASA), were devised. He also worked on Traveling While Black (2019), a collaboration between Felix & Paul Studios and Oscar-winning filmmaker Rogers Ross Willliams, and Gymnasia, with the NFB and Clyde Henry Productions.
