Biografie
A Japanese film pioneer, Shigeji Ogino (1899–1991) started experimenting with film in the late 1920s. He made over 400 short films, ranging from travelogues to experimental animation, using different film formats, including 8mm, 16mm, and the non-traditional 9.5mm, which was used by the Pathé Baby amateur film system. After WW II, he founded the Ogino 8mm Film School.
