Biografie
Born in 1923 in Palestine, he began his career as an editor at Ealing Studios in London. In 1954, he was promoted to producer and graduated to direction four years later with his first feature film, Nowhere to Go. He then worked regularly for Hammer Films, filming such films as The Nanny (1965), starring Bette Davis. In 1971, a week before the end of shooting Blood from the Mummy’s Tomb, he died of a heart attack. The final week’s filming was completed by Michael Carreras.
