Pamela Albarrán

Biografie

Graduated Cum laude from de Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica (CCC) in Mexico, she also had the privilege of taking a one-year program at the French film school ENS Louis Lumière in Paris. Her tesis film as cinematographer, Fable of a Blood- Drained Girl (Dir. Alejandro Iglesias), was part of the Cinefondation selection at the Cannes film festival 2013 and was selected at other important film festivals around the world. Her second tesis film Land of Nod (Dir. Mariana Flores) was nominated for Best Cinematography at the Grand OFF film festival in Poland (2015). She has worked as a Director of Photography in fiction, documentary, music videos, and publicity in Latin America, US, Europe and Morocco. In 2017, the documentary film El Buen Cristiano (Dir. Izabel Acevedo) received the Feisal Award at the Guadalajara International Film Festival, and in 2018, her first feature film Ayúdame A Pasar La Noche (Dir. José Ramón Chávez) got the Public Award at the same festival. A member of the ICFC, Collectif Femmes à la Caméra , Apertura Mx, and l’Union de Chefs Opérateurs (France), she works mostly in France and Mexico.
