Maya Khoury

Maya Khoury was born in Syria where she studied literature and worked as an assistant director. In 2010, she co-founded the Abounaddara collective, which participated at documenta 14 and whose film Of God and Dogs (2014) won the Short Film Grand Jury Prize at Sundance. Maya Khoury’s filmography merges with the Abounaddara collective’s, which has produced over 300 shorts uploaded online between 2011 and 2017, as well as a feature length film produced in collaboration with ARTE.
