He studied film at the Foundation Armando Alvares Penteado in São Paulo, at San Francisco City College in California, and at San Francisco State University. There his graduation 16 mm. short film was The Blue Bouquet, a adaptation of a tale by Octavio Paz. He worked as a microphone technician in San Francisco and Hollywood. As a sound technician he has made short films, commercials, music and institutional videos at the United States, Cuba, Germany and Canada. In Brazil he has taken part in 18 feature films. In 2003 he made his documentary short film Rua da Escandinha 162.
