Biografie
Desha is a San Francisco native, Howard University & UCLA Alumna. An award-winning filmmaker, her shorts have screened at Sundance, BlackStar, American Black, Pan African and Urbanworld Film Festivals. Her screenwriting has found support at Tribeca All Access, Film Independent and Hedgebrook. Desha is a faculty member in The Department of Film & Media Studies at University of California, Irvine. She is excited about innovative approaches to visual storytelling and the sharing of rich human stories. Desha lives in the Los Angeles area with her husband and two children.
