Biografie

Born to a fishing family, he earned a PhD in philosophy, studied music and ballet, and founded a theater company. In Buenos Aires, he began his film career as an assistant to director Alberto de Zavalía; in 1947, he directed his first film, Estrellita. His work across genres included comedies, dramas, crime, social commentary, northern legends, and musicals.
