Biografie
Turkish Director, Ayse Toprak, received a BFA in Film and Television from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, as well as a Master´s Degree in Media Studies from the New York University. After almost 15 years living, studying and working in New York, London, and Doha, Qatar, she returned to Turkey in 2011 with Al Jazeera to produce social and political documentaries throughout her country and the region. Since her arrival in Istanbul, she has focused on creating films that trigger dialogue on a range of national and international issues that remain either neglected or marginalized.
