Matan Yair is a filmmaker, writer, and screenwriter, as well as a high school literature and history teacher. He studied Screenwriting at the Sam Spiegel Film & Television School in Jerusalem before studying Direction at Tel Aviv University. His work is always autobiographical. His documentary It Is Written in Your I.D. That I Am Your Father was screened at the Haifa International Film Festival in the documentary competition. In 2009, he published his first novel, which takes the form of a teenager's diary. It won an award from the National Library of Israel. Scaffolding is his first feature film.
