Tobe Hooper

Born in 1943 in Austin, Texas, he directed the instant classic The Texas Chainsaw Massacre in 1974. He was later hired to shoot a film in the vain of Jaws: Eaten Alive (1977), in which actor Robert Englund claimed, “My name is Buck and I’m here to fuck!”, took by Tarantino in Kill Bill. He then directed several bigger productions such as Poltergeist (1982) and Lifeforce (1985). He died in 2017 in Los Angeles.
