Marine Place

Marine Place was born in the French town Douai in 1972. After studying film at the Université Lille-Nord-de-France, she gained experience in various fields of the movie and theater business, for example in sound, lighting, directing and editing. In 1995, her first short film "Rebonds" (1995) was shown at the Festival de Cannes in the section 'Cinéma en France'. The movie also gained attention at other festivals. In addition, Place directed some feature documentaries like "Les choix de Valentin" (2009). With "Souffler plus fort que la mer" (2016) she presents her feature film debut.
