Biografie

Roseanne for President! is Eric Weinrib's first feature film. Eric has collaborated with Academy Award-winning filmmaker Michael Moore for over a decade, as an archival researcher on the Palme d'Or-winning Fahrenheit 9/11, coordinating producer on the Academy Award-nominated Sicko, and associate producer on Capitalism: A Love Story.

Prior to working with Moore, Eric was a staff writer on Comedy Central's Stephen Colbert vehicle Strangers With Candy. Eric's award-winning short fiction film, Jimmy Walks Away, opened to rave reviews at the Sundance Film Festival. It aired on Showtime Networks and was distributed on Park City; The Sundance Collection, a DVD compilation of Sundance Film Festival award-winning shorts. The Seattle Times described the film as pathetically hilarious. The Village Voice declared it a comic gem.

Eric's extracurricular activities have included barreling down the Oregon highways on the roof of the Furthur bus with Ken Kesey and his Merry Band of Pranksters; conspiring with Hunter S. Thompson on his Owl Farm ranch in Woody Creek, Colorado; and attending private meetings with Hugo Chavez and Hillary Clinton (not simultaneously).
