Born in the Netherlands and residing in the United Kingdom, Corbijn is globally renowned as an influetial portrait photographer. He has directed several short films and more than 75 music videos for Depeche Mode, Nirvana, Johnny Cash, and Nick Cave, among others. His debut feature Control (2008) follows the life of Joy Division's Ian Curtis. His third feature film, A Most Wanted Man (2014), won five British Independent Film Awards.
