Marcelo Pedreira developed a solid career in theater as a playwright and director, working with major Brazilian actors such as Wagner Moura, protagonist of Elite Squad. Pedreira also wrote the script for The Incurable Ones, directed by Gustavo Acioli, which participated in several festivals around the world. His debut as a director is the short film The Inevitable Story of Leticia Diniz, based on his book which he wrote in 2007 and was published by Nova Fronteira, also adapted to the stage.
