Over the years, Turkish Ali's dream has changed into a nightmare. He came to the Netherlands in good spirits as an immigrant worker in search of a better future. But after his wife passed away and he lost touch with his children, the dream Ali envisaged gradually vanished. When he leaves his depressing apartment, he finds himself in the overcast weather of Holland, where he feels like a fish out of water. (Nederlands Film Festival)
