ACT professionals, a team of psychiatrists based in Aviles, have implemented a leading medical experience in treating severe mental illnesses. It consists of home visits and has proven to be of exceptional efficiency in such patients, whose illness often prevents them from taking the initiative or having the necessary impulse to continue whatever treatments they may be undergoing. In practising their slogan: If you don’t come to us, we’d go to you. They have been able to improve the quality of life of many people who, together with the doctors themselves, give testimony of this work in this documentary. Because this special team visits their patients adjusting to them up to such a point that visits may take place while walking through the park, taking a coffee, or helping them do their shopping, if necessary.
