Mission Congo

During an escalating refugee crisis in the Democratic Republic of Congo, televangelist, multi-millionaire and leader of the religious right, Pat Robertson ran a media blitz on his television station, the Christian Broadcasting Network, to raise money for his charity Operation Blessing International. However, Robertson was simultaneously involved with a very different sort of mission in the area: diamond mining. With an extraordinary cast of eye-witnesses Mission Congo takes us on a mesmerizing journey, raising larger questions over the billions of dollars raised by American religious institutions that go untaxed and unregulated.
