I'm kicking off with the standard three stars because I wasn't disappointed, but I wasn't exactly ecstatic either. The storytelling style didn't quite hit the mark for me. Conversations with the dead? Sure, why not. But personally, I felt there were a bit too many necro dialogues for my liking. That said, I found the main protagonist quite likable; a woman who's always up for a good time and passes long winter evenings by cracking walnuts with her liver. I'm just not sure if the current pace will be enough to sustain eight episodes. Here's hoping it does. / Lesson learned: Want to refresh your memory? Try vodka.
