During one month a diverse crew went out to explore new bouldering areas in Namibia, which is still largely unexplored with regard to climbing. Despite wildlife, mines, sand dunes and other classic attractions that compose this country, it seemed to the team that there was still one very important attraction missing ... sites of blocks in quantity and quality. They figured that the only thing they could do was go out there and have a look on site.
The Belgian-Swiss team of five climbers was composed for this specific event and consisted of Nils Favre (CH) and Stephane Hanssens (BEL), spearheading the climbing part, Jean-Louis Wertz (BEL), capture images and finally, a female touch was added by Nathalie Hanssens (Bel) and Viviane Monteiro (CH).
The purpose of the adventure was to search some major lines. We didn't have much information about the climbing possibilities, neither what had already been done and the location of good bouldering areas. What we needed the most was information about the quality of the rock.
