Poirot wird vom Wirt eines Landgasthofs per Brief gebeten, einen dreifachen Giftmord aufzuklären. Bei seiner Ankunft muss er jedoch erfahren, dass das Verbrechen nur auf dem Papier existiert: im selbstverfassten Kriminalroman des Wirts. Great episode that will captivate mainly with its horror atmosphere. It simply succeeded and it remains properly dark until the end. Even though you suspect that everything has a completely realistic basis, you still can't help but start thinking that the ghosts are real and that there is something to the haunting. It simultaneously maintains Poirot's humor.
