City of the Dead

City of the Dead is a documentary about death interpreted by the living. Its protagonists are people who face death on a daily basis and have found an alternative way to cope with it. They all work at the cemetery and the funeral home in Palma: Biel, the cemetery guard; José, the sales agent dealing with families; David and Sergio, the morticians; Jaume and Mohammed, the gardeners, José Luis, who operates the crematorium and Manuela, who clean the facilities. Through their relationships, sometimes dramatic others comical , we discover the unknown world of death and the personal stories of its inhabitants. (Seminci - Valladolid International Film Festival)
