Anori

Anori and Inuk’s love is direct, uncomplicated and warm. In flashbacks we are told how they met but also how Inuk’s colleague, Malik, fell in love with the beautiful and gifted Anori. His courtship creates jealousy that wears down the relationship between Anori and Inuk. Their story is illustrated in parallel in a fairy tale version that is danced into being, where Anori is the naïve girl who refuses to believe in darkness and evil. In the tale there is a cold and evil wind that wants to have everything to itself. But Anori is not alone, she has a strong protector. Anori ties contemporary life with Greenlandic mythology and is also the first feature film from Greenland directed by a woman. (Göteborg Film Festival)
