Fistful of Dirt

The first signifi cant feature film to deal with the devastating effects of Hurricane Maria on the island of Puerto Rico, this story follows Yei (Julio Gastón Ramos), an energetic ten-year-old boy. He spends his days setting traps for crabs and foraging for gasoline, while trying to keep his desperately ill mother Wanda (Dolores Pedro) alive and avoid the drunken Alicio (Modesto Lacen), who lives with them.
