Superstar Rajinikanth is back with the action packed tale of 'Kaala', the colour of the Proletariat. The film is about the life of Nellai/ Tirunelveli Tamils living in Mumbai and fighting for their rights. The story comprises of a battle between working class and the ruling class. Engendering the avatar of 'Kaala' aka Kaarikaran in his battle against injustice, Rajni signifies the 'God of Death'; the one who fights to protect.
