In 1989, the NEA became a battleground for the cultural war in the United States between conservatives and liberals after two NEA sponsored grants were deemed to fund “obscene” art. Everything Old Is New Again explores this vicious political fight between the two parties and follows the Trump administration’s influence in the continuing conflict.
