Stephanie Patricks (Blake Lively) Leben wendet sich schlagartig, als ihre ganze Familie bei einem Flugzeugabsturz umkommt. Völlig verloren driftet sie ins Drogenmilieu ab. Doch eines Tages erfährt sie, dass es kein Unfall, sondern ein gezieltes Terrorattentat war. Seitdem kennt sie nur einen Gedanken: die Verantwortlichen zu finden und zur Rechenschaft zu ziehen. Unterstützung findet sie dabei bei dem ehemaligen MI6-Agenten Iain Boyd (Jude Law), der sie einem beinharten Training unterzieht, um sie als Auftragskillerin im Kampf gegen den weltweiten Terrorismus einzuschleusen. Denn auch Iain hat eine Rechnung offen. Auf ihrer hochriskanten Mission gerät Stephanie in eine unbekannte komplexe Welt, die keine klaren Gegner kennt. (Leonine)

Englisch I'm happy. Rhythm Section is a decent female revenge thriller that doesn't bring anything new to the genre and slightly rips off similar pieces, but it's still solid entertainment with a great Blake Lively, decent action, an intense finale and an interesting twist. Blake Lively loses her family after a terrorist attack and decides to seek out and take down the perpetrator herself, aided by Jude Law who trains her. The film hasn't received very favorable reviews, probably due to the fact that it is sort of pointless, but on its own it is more than watchable. Fans of the genre shouldn't outright regret it.
