Ajji

Granny (Ajji) desperately searches for her 9-year-old granddaughter, who has gone outdoors at night to do a small chore and does not return. After thoroughly searching their slum, they find her brutally raped. The authorities hesitate to make a conclusive investigation since it appears that the perpetrator is a local goon whose father runs a huge business. Granny decides to get justice nevertheless and makes a detailed plan. (International Film Festival Rotterdam)
