Englisch If stupid, slanted films like this get any more recognition, Konvička, Okamura and other similar twats can start celebrating, because their followers will grow in number almost automatically. This kind of take on the immigration crisis? No thanks. This film idealises basically everything. The kind-hearted immigrant Kwame, who lies and steals (because he has to). The racist mother of the main character, who before kicking the bucket realises she didn’t behave well. And, of course, the naive heroine/volunteer Inger (who surely votes Green), who falls hopelessly in love with Kwame, forgives him everything and, with her mother’s inheritance, pays for his way back to his wife and three black kids in Ghana, because “there’s no happiness for him in Denmark”. All she has left from him is a (un)culturally enriched picture together in the Tivoli amusement park. Bollocks! ()

Englisch I confess I don't understand one bit why this short was nominated for an Oscar. Perhaps only because everything else was really bad. This is sort of a pseudo-human, pseudo-powerful film about how some human destinies can unfold. But it's a naive and stupid film that presents reality in a raw and unrealistic way. ()
