Die Ehen der beiden Heimwerker Ib und Edward haben schon bessere Zeiten gesehen. Ihre Frauen Ingrid und Gritt halten ihre Männer nur für Witzfiguren, flirten ständig mit dem Tanzlehrer und schlafen lieber auf dem Sofa als mit dem Gatten. Ein Neuanfang muss her, doch die Männer sitzen auf so viel Schwarzgeld, dass eine Scheidung sie bettelarm machen könnte. Ein Auftragskiller soll die ungeliebten Ehefrauen loswerden. Doch die Damen haben längst Wind von dem Plan der Männer bekommen und sich eine eigene britische Profikillerin besorgt... (DCM)

My favourite Ole Bornedal is back and he is excellent again. This time instead of a horror film, he delivers a very bitter and black-humored thriller-driven comedy and both sides work perfectly. The acting is spot on, the jokes are polished, the assassins are amazing (I won't forget the drunken Russian assassin Igor). I had a great time. 80%.

At first, it seems that the idiots are just the two sexually frustrated amateurs, but gradually everyone joins in. It's entertaining in some details, but the viewer has to avoid thinking too deeply about how ridiculous it all is. Being a successful killer and looking at the bottom of a bottle a hundred times more often than through a rifle scope requires a broad Russian soul. The scene where Marcin Dorociński's Igor Lihor gets into the head of an Afghan taxi driver is simply top-notch. So much negative energy in such a small space.

This film almost has the makings of being a cult film, but it doesn't succeed - it just doesn't get to the bigger bizarre, or it doesn’t have enough good jokes to really get you interested. In the end, the story isn't even great enough to make it worth watching. I'm quite sad that the creators didn't put a bit more of an edge into it.

I do love Viking films and series, but this was really sneaky of the Danish filmmakers. The worst part for me was that the movie got increasingly stupid as time went on, so sticking it out to the end was quite a challenge. I awarded a star for explaining why the English don't like their bodies, otherwise the film was unfunny as hell.

An inoffensive Danish comedy with a very funny and quite original idea, where bored guys hire a murderer for their wives, but they find out and hire one for their husbands too and the merry-go-round begins. The pace was quite brisk and the running time ticked along, there was quite a lot of humour and it was so black and dry that it may not suit some people, but I had a good time. It lacks stronger elements for me to rate it higher, but it's still a fine average. The wig scene at the end was great!!!
