In summer 2015, an expedition of six young people spent 6 weeks in Alaska in the Gates of The Arctic National park, 300 km north of Arctic Circle. The goal was to cross the continental divide on foot and canoe down the Alatna River, in the middle of wilderness without any roads, trails, or people. What is Alaska like? Beautiful, wild, endless, harsh, attractive and respectful at the same time. Even thousand words couldn't describe the beauty of Alaska. A man once sad that in Alaska, silence is the loudest. And he was right. Illusive silence hides a ruthless fight for life. We dared to look behind the curtain of silence and watch that fight, just for a moment. We thought that we could have just a quick look and return back home. But we brought something with us. There was something inside us that changed. Something that even the loudest city couldn't conceal, something that couldn't fade away under everyday routine. And we want to share that "something" with you.
Come and look with us under that curtain of silence. We can show you places, where time isn't defined by days, hours or minutes, but by heartbeats, by your every breath, by blows of wind, by sound of a river... Together, let's portage over the continental divide, go down the rapids, watch bears, bake bread in a handmade stove, and build a real sailing boat, all that in the heart of alaskan wilderness, 500 km from the closest civilization!
