Ein kleiner Horrorfilm, der das Maximum aus dem Minimum herausholt. Es genügte ihm nur vier Charaktere, ein Bauernhaus und ein mysteriöses Monster, das sich im Dunkeln versteckt. Es fürchtet sich zwar vor dem geringsten Licht von einem Telefon oder angezündeten Streichhölzern, aber indem es sich eher andeutet und sich in einem Moment sogar als ziemlich fieses Schwein entpuppt, schafft es gelegentlich sogar, angenehm zu erschrecken. Das zentrale Paar ist austauschbar und am Anfang ziemlich nervig. Seine weibliche Hälfte entpuppt sich jedoch im Laufe der Zeit als kämpferisch, was die Sympathien der Zuschauer gewinnt. Der Film läuft auch gut, er hält sich nicht mit unnötigem Gerede auf und zieht den Zuschauer überraschend früh in die atmosphärische Dunkelheit. Für mich also Daumen hoch.

A decent Irish atmospheric flick, easily watchable, but not too close to the previous one, Stitches, which was a level above in terms of fun and gore. Conor McMahon unfortunately doesn't show too much of the bad guy, the whole thing takes place in the dark, so night and headphones for better effect are a must. More could have been wrung out of this, but there aren’t many horror movies like this, so why not. 60%
