Vom Grundstück des schrulligen Erfinders Dr. Proktor dringt nichts als vereinzelte Knallgeräusche an die Außenwelt. Lise und Bulle wagen es, den geheimnisvollen Nachbarn aufzusuchen. So präsentiert ihnen der verrückte Professor seine neueste Erfindung: Ein Pulver, das gewaltige Blähungen verursacht, die sich explosionsartig, aber völlig geruchlos entladen. Lise und Bulle wollen es unter die Leute bringen - könnte man doch so Astronauten billig ins All schicken. Da bekommt Proktors fieser Konkurrent Thrane mit seinen tollpatschigen Zwillingssöhnen Trym und Truls Wind von dem Wundermittel. (ORF)

I don’t understand how Jo Nesbø managed to switch from bleak crime stories to a fairy tale about a doctor and his powder that gives you the power of farting all the way to the clouds. However, I haven’t read the book and believe it can be fun. The most fun of this movie was the opening scene with the cat… it all went downhill from there. Had it been a bit more politically incorrect, it probably wouldn’t have been as terrible.

For a moment, I even thought that the concept could be quite funny and that it might be fun to watch such a movie, but even though I haven't read the book, the movie definitely didn't appeal to me. It's as if Jo Nesbø had already written too many thrillers and just decided to veer off into something a bit crazy. It's not much, but mainly, it's just not very entertaining. At least in the movie version.
