The Ninth Company is one company too many. It consists of a handful of young men; draftees who come together to do their military service in a small-town regiment in Sweden. They get a brilliant business idea and form a company... The business just grows and grows. And the most unburnable of men become very bribable indeed when they are let in on this secret and brilliant business idea. Some men are attracted by the money, others by the excitement of doing something forbidden.
