Eszterlánc

Eszter is a 12-year-old teenager, her parents are divorced and she lives with her teacher mother. Her mother is trying to mitigate the sufferings of her premature daughter by treating her as an equal partner. Eszter starts looking around in her environment with critical eyes, realising the existence of a gap between the education she is given at home versus at school. Yet lies are told even at home, e.g. to grandfather, who is told that he will be cured although he is terminally ill. Her father's new wife is rude to Eszter, and she is frightened by a pederast in the street. Her friend is not as understanding to her as she wishes, either. Growing up is more and more difficult. Her mother is capable of helping her for the time being, as laughter and joy ease tensions. (Verleiher-Text)
