Vasárnapi ebéd

Ilona sleeps in a shelter for the homeless. Her 15-year-old son, Norbi, lives in a children home. After living apart for four years, their only wish is to be together again. At least this weekend they can pretend everything is the same. Ilona sews her son's shirt, cooks him dinner and arranges with the management of the shelter to permit Norbi to sleep over. When she was 15, she ran away from the children home; now she implores her son not to repeat her mistake. But for Norbi, the prospect of living another three years in an institution is unimaginable. Short episodes from the banal everyday life of a mother and son show their overwhelming desire to be together despite circumstances. (One World)
