The Theatre of Ob-Ugric Peoples consists of young actors. Almost all of them were born in small villages and settlements in Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Ugra in Russia. They play national musical instruments and perform dances, songs and music of the Khanty and Mansi peoples. Touring in the Beryozovsky region of Ugra, the actors visit local people to learn about national clothes, ornaments, songs, dances and fairy tales. Each song, dance and melody becomes for them a talk with the gods and the spirits of ancient ancestors. (Skábmagovat-elokuvajuhla)
