(Zee.One)

Englisch A very pleasant surprise from India. I didn't believe much in it at first, and by the end I had spent a pleasant evening with popcorn and a bottle of chilled whisky. The first hour is heavily romantic in nature, but thankfully it is very enjoyable. The chemistry between the leading couple is charming and I fell in love with the female protagonist as well. The male protagonist is a likeable guy and there's definitely something about him. The villain, the (local) champion and son of the master, was also intriguing, and he was a total bastard. Story-wise the film is simple, it's more or less two men fighting over one woman and being able to go over dead bodies. As far as the action is concerned, apart from a few details I have almost nothing to complain about. It's obvious that it's non-contact at times (especially during the mid-air kicks), but it's made up for by the engaging cinematography, stylish slow motion and gritty kills, which I loved. The finale takes a lot from The Raid, but why not I always enjoy watching a 10-storey house with mounting opponents, and if it comes down to a slashing weapon, a pissed off black man or a Chinese man (which was one of the best fights in the whole film) I can't complain about a rip-off, who cares? I enjoyed the movie. 80% PS: I skipped the songs, I didn’t like them. ()

Englisch Sure, ultimately it's just a romance, but Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor are such an interesting pair that you want to see them together, you want to watch them. And there are some great action scenes. Tiger Shroff is becoming my favorite, and I hope he becomes a proper star; his movements are absolutely unique. ()
