Die Skandale um Will Conway haben gefruchtet. Francis hat die Wahlen in Ohio gewonnen. Er will mit seinem alten Kabinett wie gewohnt weiterarbeiten. Nur LeAnn bemerkt, dass ihr Einfluss auf die Underwoods sinkt und sie in Ungnade gefallen ist. Auch Doug sieht seine Position gefährdet, nachdem es jetzt nun einen neuen Sonderberater gibt. Clouds of blather and one inauguration. When they will start pulling aces out of their sleeves, God knows, and when one indomitable journalist will take the plunge, nobody knows either. Soon, I hope, because this episode is very uneven.

The creators bounced back, returning to their usual standard. I was anything but bored this time. Kevin Spacey was brilliant during the presidential inauguration, and I enjoyed all the manipulation and intrigue. However, I'm completely over watching the Underwoods' sex life — it's just become repetitive.
