Englisch It hasn’t happened to me in a long time that I found a movie boring most of the time, but that this would change in the last few minutes of the film. You see this is a typical movie with an entangled plot. You get a lot of plotlines. Very often they are quite dull and boring. The boredom is ever-present and the only thing keeping me afloat are the acting performances. I liked watching scene after scene and waiting to see another familiar face. However, then the amount of famous actors settles on a stable number and the boring stories begin to take the upper hand. Anyways, the unravelling arrived at exactly the right time. Once Robert De Niro does his rather intimate bit on the roof, things start getting a bit more dynamic. All of the sudden a movie that I was going to give a one-star rating earned three stars from me. Why is that? Well simply because of the fact that in the end, the plotlines finally start making sense. It may also have been thanks to my surprise at the ending. It’s strange, but that’s how it was. The ending makes it all worthwhile. ()

Englisch I'd like to give it 5 stars because I was got carried away by the atmosphere and felt great while watching it. There was no shortage of funny moments and the charm of pure romance. And since it's the end of the year, one can forgive the many clichés and (un)wise speeches. The individual stories are engaging... some less, some more. My favorite was the duel over a midnight childbirth and the incredibly cute Zac Efron with the fantastic Michelle Pfeiffer. The stellar Lea Michele and Aston Kutcher were also good together. The final bloopers and blunders entertained me the most. And it was that moment that brought everyone in the theater together. 4 stars. ()

Englisch A very pointless romantic movie and a poor imitation of Love Actually that lacks the dramatic lightness, humour and emotion of its British predecessor. It obviously had to be packed with known faces, otherwise nobody would have given a toss about such a shabby script. I just don’t understand how De Niro, Swank and Pfeiffer could go for it (though, it’s not that surprising considering their work in the last decade). ()

Englisch We will make a small list: Michelle Pfeiffer, Robert De Niro, Zac Efron, Ashton Kutcher, Hilary Swank, Halle Berry, Alyssa Milano, Jessica Biel, Sarah Paulson, Til Schweiger, Carla Gugino, Katherine Heigl, Jon Bon Jovi, James Belushi, Sarah Jessica Parker, Ludacris, Hector Elizondo, Matthew Broderick. And these are just the really well-known celebrities and movie stars. Can a bad movie be made with such a cast? The answer is: And how! For a long time, this is one of the worst comedies I have seen. I watched "New Year's Eve" mainly out of obligation, and that's how it turned out. How can I be enthused about different episodes that are sometimes connected, sometimes not, and the only thing they have in common is that they take place on New Year's Eve? The stories are not original at all. It's only about one thing - the search for love. Garry Marshall decided to make an anthology film, but instead of dividing it into separate stories, they form a whole. As if he was sorry that he wasn't invited to movies like "Paris, je t'aime," so he created something similar in a genre he understands. Or at least understood. The characters are monotonous, their actions transparent, the ending is tear-jerking, pathetic, and incredibly predictable. Some actors are too good for this kind of movie, but I hope they at least enjoyed filming, like Hector Elizondo, for example.
