Lulu ist eine hübsche junge Frau, die von den Zuwendungen der Männer lebt, die ihr verfallen sind. Auch Dr. Schön verliebt sich in Lulu und will sie, obwohl er bereits einer anderen versprochen ist, ehelichen. Es kommt tatsächlich zur Hochzeit, was aber der Beginn einer grauenvollen Zeit für die Braut ist, denn ihr neuer Gatte ist krankhaft eifersüchtig, was sie und einige ihrer ehemaligen Bekanntschaften in ärgste Probleme bringen soll. "Pandora's Box" combines several interesting motifs. It is a story of a femme fatale, but at the same time an existential contemplation of a woman's fate. It is a tragic romance, as well as a variation on the well-known theme of Jack the Ripper. Adventure is combined here with emotional, human cruelty and violence. The film has a plot that may not be necessary, memorable characters - or actually just one character - and finally, a tone that shows the creators were not afraid.
