Rick und Fred können ihr Glück kaum fassen. Ihre Frauen Maggie und Grace machen ihnen nämlich ein traumhaftes Angebot: Für eine Woche bekommen sie einen Freibrief, alles tun und lassen zu können, was sie wollen. Einfach so, als wären sie wieder Junggesellen. Maggie und Grace bauen darauf, dass die beiden Freunde danach wieder reumütig ins traute Eheleben zurückkehren werden. Zunächst scheint der Plan auch aufzugehen. Rick und Fred kommen bei den Frauen längst nicht so gut an, wie sie es sich vorgestellt haben. (ORF)

Average, typical Farrelly comedy that doesn't offend and is also quite entertaining. A couple of decent lines had me laughing quite a bit. The scene on the golf course had me crying with laughter. Oddly enough, I enjoyed the female cast the most. Owen Wilson is getting a little creepy. The script is one big cliché, but it's still a funny diversion. 3.5 stars.

Quite an interesting idea. What happens when you give a model husband a week off? He can do whatever he wants. Well, honestly, I would see this as a really harsh psychological drama, but it's clear that a comedy can also be made out of it. The Farrelly brothers attempted this. Their humor, which is sometimes quite rough, quite appeals to me, but suddenly here you have the feeling that you have to wait quite a long time for those jokes, and when they finally come, it's nothing great. The moralizing of this movie is really terrible. You expect it from Sandler, but here... I really didn't enjoy this.
