A young man is crossing a bridge, pulling a car on a rope behind him. The scene repeats over and over, and each time the toy gets larger. A single narrow path to the home village serves the rich and the poor, American occupiers and the natives. Here starts the story of independent Philippine cinema. A diary, an indictment of neo-colonialism, and essayistic experiments are freely mixed with images filmed on Super 8. "When you work with the cosmos, suddenly you get ideas for how to treat some visuals, like some images that had no intention of being in the film. That's the freedom of the independent." Kidlat Tahimik (Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival)
